Pork chops..are they safe?

I took some pork chops out of the freezer 2 days ago and put them in the refrigerator to thaw. They had only been in the freezer about a week. Anyway, I opened them up and was putting them in the pan to bake them and noticed that they were kind of slick. They were still icy, and not completely thawed out. They had no odor to them or discoloration. I'm just wondering if they are ok? I am currently baking them, but am wondering if they are safe to eat? Thanks!
